Summer Solstice Ritual 2007
Equipment: Seven candles – appropriately colored for the planets to be placed in hexagram formation around circle, candle for sun on altar in center. Colors: (King Scale) Sun-Orange, Moon-Blue, Saturn-Indigo, Jupiter-Violet, Venus-Green, Mars-Red, Mercury-Yellow Wine Cakes of Light Sword (for LPRP) Scepter (to be passed to each person invoking ending finally in hand of Priest). Robes- Ideally, appropriate colored robe for each planet if enough participants. Otherwise plain white or black robes for participants, EGC Priest robe and crown for Priest Incense- Solar Ritual Celebrants enter temple and are each given a Cake of Light and a cup of Wine Opening: LBRP (to be performed by one in a black robe with sword) Priest’s proclaimation: Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law! Gives sign of Apophys and Typhon. Let this offering be borne upon the waves of Aethyr to our Lord and Father the Sun that travelleth over the Heavens in his name ON. Ritual: Invocation via Greater Hexagram Ritual of all planets culminating with the solar invocation. (Individual planets to be invoked by those wearing white or black robes, final solar invocation to be performed by one fully clothed as the Priest of the Sun) Alternate: One robed in blue to make the three hexagrams beginning with Saturn and one robed in red to make the three hexagrams beginning with the Luna to form the Holy Hexagram. Priest hands scepter to Saturn who in turn hands scepter to next planet until it returns into hand of priest for Sol. Individuals perform invoking planetary hexagram at each station using scepter to trace appropriate invoking hexagram, vibrating ARARITA, then tracing planetary symbol in center of hexagram and vibrating God name:
Thelemic Prayer/ Communion: Priest rings bell- 333-55555-333 All recite together: Now I begin to pray: Thou Child, Holy thy Name and undefiled! Thy reign is come; Thy will is done. Here is the Bread (all consume cake of light); Here is the Blood (all drink wine). Bring me through midnight to the Sun! Save me from Evil and from Good! That Thy one crown of all the Ten Even now and here be mine. AMEN. Proclamation: Priest sounds bell and proclaims: The sun has reached the Summer Solstice. Love is the law, love under will.
